The European Commission is calling for research on the effective use of artificial intelligence in early childhood and elementary education. Projects should provide evidence on the benefits, risks, and educational effects of AI—including ethical issues and children’s well-being—and develop practical guidance for educators and parents.
The topic (HORIZON-CL2-2027-01-TRANSFO-05) has a budget of €12 million, with €3–4 million per project and three projects expected. The call opens on May 13, 2027, and the deadline is September 23, 2027.
