How Do You Study a Future That Hasn’t Happened Yet? Prof. Benjamin Müller Has Some Ideas

If digital transformation is set to fundamentally reshape organizations, how can we study it before it is over?

On November 4, 2026, Prof. Benjamin Müller will explore this question at the next MMM Brown Bag Seminar in his talk titled “Reaching Beyond the Present – Foresight in Digital Transformation Research.”

Müller is a professor of digital business at the University of Bremen. His research focuses on how digital technologies transform organizations, ranging from augmented work to corporate digital responsibility. His talk examines the limitations of research rooted in the past and present, and explores methods that engage with transformations whose ultimate outcomes we cannot yet foresee.

This talk is relevant to anyone studying how technology changes organizations and society, whether in business, communications, entrepreneurship, sociology, or AI.
