The European Commission is calling for research on the effective use of artificial intelligence in pre-primary and primary education. Projects should provide evidence on the benefits, risks and educational effects of AI, including ethical questions and children’s well-being, and develop practical guidance for educators and parents.
The topic (HORIZON-CL2-2027-01-TRANSFO-05) has a budget of €12 million, with €3–4 million per project and three projects expected. The call opens on 13 May 2027, and the deadline is 23 September 2027.
